Medical protection for individuals and groups

Medical Insurance

This type of insurance provides medical protection for the insured, whether individuals or groups, and includes two types of medical insurance:

1- Individual and Family Medical Insurance

Providing the best possible protection for our families is part of our human nature, and the individual and family medical insurance programme is a policy offering the complete concept of a private medical insurance programme for families in Kuwait. One of its unique features is your absolute freedom to go directly to any doctor or hospital you choose when you need treatment, without any prior procedures required to visit the doctor or medical centre of your choice.

You will undoubtedly feel peace of mind knowing that you and your family members can choose the best care available whenever you need it.

1- Contract terms

Eligibility and age:

  • Adults: the maximum joining age is 64.
  • Children: from 14 days up to 21 years.
  • Family members must be permanent residents of the State of Kuwait.

2- Covered expenses

Hospital stay and operations

  • Operating room and intensive care.
  • Stay of one parent accompanying a child (up to 18 years).
  • Local ambulance services for emergencies.

Specialised treatments

  • Regular dental treatment (extraction, filling, root canal).
  • Physiotherapy (after accidents or surgery).
  • Laser vision correction (requires prior approval).

Maternity and childbirth

Includes care from the start of pregnancy until delivery, provided:

  • A waiting period of 10 consecutive months from the joining date.
  • A maximum of 9 doctor visits and 4 ultrasound scans.

3- Exclusions

Main cases not covered:

  • Pre-existing diseases (such as kidney stones).
  • Chronic diseases (unless otherwise stated).
  • Cosmetic surgery (except resulting from an accident).
  • Accidents resulting from war or terrorism.
  • Injuries resulting from dangerous sports.
  • Hereditary diseases and speech disorders.
  • Injuries resulting from attempted suicide.
  • Infertility and impotence treatments.
  • Obesity and hair loss treatments.
  • Vitamins and dietary supplements.

2- Group Medical Insurance

This insurance provides medical protection for the insured, whether individuals, companies, institutions, associations, etc. It is broader and more comprehensive, as it provides insurance protection for the insured inside the State of Kuwait, whether treated at the Ministry of Health in Kuwait or at private hospitals, and also provides insurance protection for the insured anywhere else in the world, in accordance with the policy terms.
